Our line of aircraft lead the industry in performance, however they are experimental amateur built aircraft. We recommend that you educate yourself on experimental aviation. The Experimental Aircraft Association is a great resource to begin this process. Also take a look at our resources tab to learn more information specific to Bearhawks.
Second
You might decide that building your Bearhawk by yourself is not for you. Take a look at our build assist option. We will need you in person at our facility for a couple weeks to meet FAA requirements, but we can help make your Bearhawk dream a reality. Not only will you walk away with a flying airplane, you will also gain invaluable knoweldge, making you a better pilot and aircraft owner.
So you’re ready to purchase your Bearhawk
Step 1
Pick your model - our suggestion is to pick the aircraft that fits you’re flying 90% of the time. Define your mission clearly and pick the aircraft that fills that need. The Bearhawk line of aircraft is extensive, one of our aircraft is sure to fit your purpose.
Step 2
Place your deposit to lock in your production slot - call or submit a message to get this rolling. Our aircraft are in very high demand. We are increasing production at a healthy rate but our lead times for kits have remained at 12-18 months. When place your deposit it is treated as a non-refundable deposit. At this time, you will be provided a delivery date and a price estimate. It is nearly impossible for us to accurately predict production cost over a year in advance. Your price estimate is as accurate as we can be but your final invoice could vary by 10%. We do our best to hold to your original estimate, but by using this system we are able to keep prices lower, rather than pricing based on worst case scenario. We will contact you to lock in your final price and options 120 days before delivery. If you are not happy with your final price, 50% of your production slot will be refunded.

Step 3
While you wait for your kit, we will keep you up to date on the status of your aircraft. We do our best to meet or beat our quoted delivery dates, no one is perfect but our staff gives every effort to meet these dates. During this time we recommend you begin prepping your work space, learn about aircraft construction and review the options we have available to you. If you intend to build quickly, consider ordering a propeller and engine from us as those lead times can vary from 60 days to over a year.
Step 4
Roughly 120 days from your delivery date we will contact you to lock in your sale price and confirm your options. Some of these options such as the dual door option on the Patrol require modification and welding during production and would need to be arranged before production begins. Other options, such as interior or upholstery, we like to be aware of to ensure your kit ships as complete as possible.
Step 5
When your kit is ready to be shipped to you we will contact you and request final payment. This will be in the form of a check or wire transfer. We can also take a card but must charge 3.5%. Wire transfer typically allows for faster transactions and more prompt deliver. We currently charge $2/mile shipping from Fairview Oklahoma. If you are close, we will personally deliver the aircraft to you. If you are further away, our professional shipping partner will deliver the kit by semi and drop it at your location.
Step 6
Congratulations on your new aircraft, now it’s time to start building. While waiting for your Bearhawk, you should have familiarized yourself with all of the resources available to you in the resource tab on this website. Make sure to stay up to date on our latest version of the build manual as these are a living document- constantly evolving to better serve you. The best advice we can give you is do something every day. Before you know it, you will have an airplane ready to fly. Nothing can touch the satisfaction of achievement you will experience the first time you take flight in your Bearhawk.
